"DISPOSA-TIP"
THE ORIGINAL, HYGIENIC, DISPOSABLE NEEDLE GUIDE.
MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE PROFESSIONAL TATTOO INDUSTRY.
If you run a busy studio then you know that you spend hours
every week just cleaning out your tubes. Grips and back tubes take no time at all because
of their easy to clean, straight through design, but tips take time to clean.
Now you can take the hassle out of tattooing with our disposable tips; simply throw them away after each tattoo. Until now, everything that came into contact with the clients except the tips has been disposable. We throw away our tissues, our rubber gloves, ink, ink trays or pots. We throw out our needles, but the tips get cleaned, autoclaved and used again. This makes the tip a high risk item, and if not cleaned and autoclaved properly we expose our clients to the chance of infection. Disposable tips help to eliminate this last possible link for infection.
In most countries simple disinfection of the tips by pre-soaking in alcohol before use will be acceptable. Then, since they are disposable they will be low risk items, just like your gloves, trays and inks.
The time you will save on cleaning can now be spent working, which will pay for the cost of the tips and more. Apart from the obvious health and time advantages, trials over two years in top studios have also shown other advantages. Some of the comments we received were:
"Because they are white, the clients can see
straight away that they are getting clean equipment used on them as a dirty tip will stand
out badly."
"The white plastic tips appear to be less threatening to the client."
"These tips load up with color really well, you can see it load up, you get a good
long feed from one loading, and you can actually see the pigment feeding out as you go, so
you know when you are about to run out."
"Being made from plastic instead of metal there is virtually no splatter while I
work."
"The needles stay sharper longer."
"The streamlined design gives me total visibility, I can see exactly where I am, a
real bonus for coloring up to fine lines. You can almost see the needles through the
tip."
These tips also offer greater versatility for needle making variations between artists, as the inside of the tip is slightly tapered. If a cluster is too tight for a given sized tip you can simply cut a little off the end of the tip with a razor blade to increase the size of the opening.
Although we market these tips as a throw away item, extensive trials
have shown that they can be cleaned, autoclaved and re-used 10-15 times before they start
to discolor. Although these tips are made of heat resistant surgical plastic, if
autoclaving some precautions are needed to prevent them melting:
1. Autoclave in the center of the tray, and place over the perforated holes of the
tray.
2 Don't autoclave in bags.
3 Don't autoclave while in the grip, or in contact with other solid objects.
